News
With our national strike ballot closing on Monday (13 May) this really is your last chance to vote and have your say on the PCS national pay campaign.
Many DWP offices face closure on Tuesday (7) and Wednesday (8) as a result of strike action by G4S staff called by the GMB union.
DWP members were given another reason to vote yes in our national civil service strike ballot when their low pay was highlighted in parliament this week.
PCS members shouldn’t have to sacrifice their pensions to fund pay rises, says our general secretary Fran Heathcote, in response to former head of the civil service Lord O’Donnell’s pronouncement that there should be “more pay, less pension”.
PCS members working in 700 jobcentres across the UK working on the DWP security contract are to be balloted from 1-15 May for strike action over pay.
