PCS General Secretary Fran Heathcote has said Cabinet Office minister Esther McVey is “playing politics with our members’ livelihoods and well-being” as she announced plans to scrap dedicated EDI jobs in the civil service.

DWP members were given another reason to vote yes in our national civil service strike ballot when their low pay was highlighted in parliament this week.
PCS members shouldn’t have to sacrifice their pensions to fund pay rises, says our general secretary Fran Heathcote, in response to former head of the civil service Lord O’Donnell’s pronouncement that there should be “more pay, less pension”.
PCS reps will share how they are getting the vote out in our national strike ballot at a live event at 7pm on 24 April.
